Michigan Citizen Action criticizes the state Senate for passing legislation today that undermines the will of 2.5 million people who voted to approve embryonic stem cell research in Michigan in November 2008. Voters overwhelmingly supported Proposal 2 in 2008, which gave Michigan families an opportunity to donate to research unsuitable embryos that would otherwise be discarded if not used for research.
