The findings are clear: Consumers are “paying the price” for the repeal of the Item Pricing Law. Our investigation has found that not only did Shopping Reform and Modernization Act (SRMA) not lower grocery prices; Michigan prices have stayed consistently higher and grew at a faster rate than the national average.

We applaud a recent two-bill package introduced recently in the state House of Representatives to protect consumers from deceptive and unfair practices in live-event ticket market. Problems arise often when someone wants to transfer tickets to someone else, even as a gift, and are unable to.
