Linda Teeter, Executive Director

Linda Teeter, Executive Director, has over 25 years of experience in political and community organizing. She served as a Legislative Aide to the former Michigan Representative Mary Brown for over 10 years. She has been the Executive Director of Michigan Citizen Action and its sister organization, Michigan Citizens Education Fund, for over 14 years. Ms. Teeter has an extensive background in coalition building and issue organizing, and is trained in the Midwest Academy’s philosophy on organizing. She is considered a leader in the field, and is a former, 3-term, Kalamazoo City Commissioner.

 
 
 

 

Erin Knott, Program Director

Erin Knott, Program Director, has over 10 years experience in community organizing and building the capacity of non-profit organizations. She was employed with the Local Initiatives Support Corporation for over 7 years, and has extensive experiences working with diverse individuals and organizations. Ms. Knott has a demonstrated track record as a project manager and grant writer, and has proven abilities to coordinate volunteers and move people forward on a common cause or project.

 
Adam J. Knott, Program Assistant
Adam J. Knott, Program Assistant, comes to Michigan Citizen Action with over 5 years in the retail banking/financial services sector. From his experience working with the public everyday, Mr. Knott looked to improve his community by actively participating in various local, state, and national political and civic campaigns. Along the way, Mr. Knott became experienced in organizing, planning, and executing various grassroots activities.
